The Carphone Warehouse, the only independent mobile phone retailer to stock the iPhone 3G, today announces that the 8GB and 16GB iPhone 3Gs will be available in store on Pay As You Go from 16 September 2008, costing £349.99 and £399.99 respectively. The launch makes this innovative handset accessible to more, with Pay As You Go customers now able to benefit from the full iPhone experience and receive inclusive unlimited data and Wi-Fi for 12 months.

The iPhone 3G combines three products in one – a revolutionary phone, a widescreen iPod and a breakthrough internet device. It now comes with 3G networking that is double the speed of the first generation iPhone and built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services. The iPhone 2.0 software includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and runs the hundreds of third party applications already built with the recently released iPhone SDK.
