On-Demand Voice, Fixed IP Services Enhance Industry’s Most Comprehensive GSM Suite for Machine-to-Machine Applications
CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2008

KORE Telematics, the world’s largest digital wireless services provider specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, today announced it has rolled out several key service upgrades to its GSM network service, designed to power today’s – and tomorrow’s – most important M2M applications.

The KORE GSM service now includes secure voice services with both one-way and two-way origination for on-demand use, as well as secure fixed IP and dedicated Access Point Name (APN) services. All services are available as optional upgrades for existing KORE customers, with full delivery and management through the company’s industry leading PRISM™ Gateway Services platform. With these service enhancements, KORE provides the industry’s most reliable, flexible and cost effective wireless connectivity for a wide range of M2M applications that improve productivity and reduce business costs.

The availability of on-demand voice is especially vital for security and emergency-driven M2M applications, including next-generation premises security for home and business, service dispatch and medical alerting. In addition, applications such as automated meter reading in the utility market benefit from fixed IP addressing capabilities to both increase security and streamline the process of device installation, service and lifecycle management. With the largest solutions provider network in the industry, currently numbering more than 500, KORE is inside the widest array of industry-specific applications and solutions.

“KORE has carefully invested in all the extras necessary for a flexible and reliable, 24/7 machine-to-machine network service,” said Alex Brisbourne, president and COO of KORE Telematics. “We are entirely focused on providing the right network platform for our customers to design, develop and launch the best M2M solutions quickly, inexpensively and with the highest level of confidence.”

As the only M2M-focused wireless provider serving both GSM and CDMA pooled services with the leading Tier 1 operator partners, KORE is able to offer M2M services globally. KORE GSM services span North America (U.S., Canada and Mexico) and run internationally through 415 operators in 180 countries, reaching every continent. KORE CDMA services are available across the entirety of North America, and optionally into six countries internationally, more than any single provider. By packaging support for multiple M2M technologies and services into a single managed solution for its customers, KORE enables a seamless M2M experience across North America and around the world.

KORE will demonstrate the power of its M2M network in booth #1307 at the CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & ENTERTAINMENT 2008 show at Moscone West in San Francisco from September 10-12, 2008. Company President and COO Alex Brisbourne will deliver two speaker presentations at the show, “Understanding the Positive Contribution of Communications to Reduce the Carbon Footprint Across the Economy,” part of Green Telecom & IT Summit and “Building M2M Business for the Home,” part of the seminar titled “M2M: Walled Garden or Open Range?”.
