Former Seagate Executive to Lead Worldwide Supply Chain Management and Procurement
Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Hitachi GST) today announced that it has named David Beaver as senior vice president of worldwide supply chain management and chief procurement officer. In his new role, David will have global responsibility for all aspects of purchasing and supply chain operations.

His proven industry expertise will accelerate our business turnaround efforts as we focus on further streamlining our worldwide supply chain operations,” said Hiroaki Nakanishi, chief executive officer, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies.
Mr. Beaver brings more than 25 years of executive management experience in the data storage industry to Hitachi GST. He was previously senior vice president of corporate supply chain management at Seagate Technology. Before joining Seagate, Mr. Beaver was senior vice president and chief procurement officer for Maxtor Corporation. He will be based at Hitachi’s San Jose, California headquarters.
