MphasiS partners with CII for Corporate Social Responsibility initiative

Bangalore, September 19, 2008: MphasiS, an EDS Company, announced its partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Karnataka to implement “Namma Halli” (Our Village) – a Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative. MphasiS will work with Srinivasa Services Trust (SST) on the project in Doora Village, Mysore District, Karnataka.

MphasiS has made a three year commitment and will provide financial and voluntary support to SST towards the adoption and development of village Panchayat ‘Doora’ comprising of four villages – Doora, Talur, Muradagalli and Dodda Katuru – located 130 kms. from Bangalore and 21 kms. from Mysore in Karnataka.

Together SST and MphasiS have chalked out a detailed program. The joint goals include deliverables around sustainable economic development, health, agricultural practices, livestock management, education and youth development, waste management and overall human development. The project will involve an investment of close to Rs. 28 lakhs over the three-year period resulting in improved access to a better village environment.
