Extension Motivation – New Face of HR in the Corporate World

New Delhi, September 19, 2008: eRevMax Technologies, the pioneer in Online Distribution Management and Online Revenue Maximization has ushered a new era in the HR industry with the introduction of Extension Motivation. Dr. Udai Pareek, master of HRD Movement in India attended a 2 day workshop held by eRevMax. Extension Motivation, a new concept in India, proposed by Dr. Udai Pareek helps one to realize the need to transcend and commit oneself to the super-ordinate goal of the organization, community and other larger systems.

Today, IT is reshaping the competencies needed in a knowledge domain. For this, they need to address and respond continually to the current and future internal and external customer needs. The challenge has become more complex with the enhanced level of knowledge, diversity, demand, and expectations of the employees about the work culture, performance, motivational issues and organizational climate. Organization Development (OD) assists in meeting up to these demands. OD is one of the building blocks for eRevMax’s People Development and Change Management initiative.

The idea of Extension Motivation was proposed by Prof. Udai Pareek. Extension Motivation is one of the motives in the Six Motive Model, which includes -Achievement, Expert Power, Dependence, Control, Affiliation and Extension. They are very popular interventions for NGOs and the social services sector. Organizational learning is critical for today’s market place success. It works as a positive cash flow and has become imperative for every organization today. eRevMax is striving to develop a continuous Learning Culture. About Dr Udai Pareek

Dr. Udai Pareek is regarded as father of HRD movement in India. He is currently the Chairman of EMPI’s Udai Pareek HR LABS, and is also a distinguished Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Health Management & Research, Jaipur. He is one of the founder members of Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Sciences (ISABS) & National HRD Network.

He has worked extensively in the field of process work which has helped enrich his professional role as a trainer and consultant. He found several challenges which beckoned him to new voyages: moving beyond intrapersonal processes to group processes and societal processes, searching the Indian heritage to learn the dynamics of process work in different settings, extensive use of process work in various aspects of the society. Dr. Pareek is the only Asian to become a Fellow at the National Training Laboratories (NTL), USA. He has authored and edited several books and papers and has been felicitated with highly acclaimed National and International awards.
