Dori Media Group (“Dori Media” or “DMG”) (LSE:DMG), the international media company active in the field of television, with a focus on production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of Telenovela, announces that its production subsidiary, Dori Media Paran, has won the ‘Award of Excellence’ in the 2008 Accolade Competition. The award was given for ‘Arab Labor’, one of Dori Media’s latest TV series, which draws a satirical portrait of Israeli Arabs living in a contradictory society dominated by Israel’s Jews.

Arab Labor, Israel’s first prime time program featuring Arab protagonists who speak in Arabic, was, at the time of broadcasting, one of Israel’s top 10 shows. The series was created by Daniel Paran, Sayed Kashua and Roni Ninio and won numerous prizes for its original, witty and intelligent depiction of a delicate reality through the use of humor. ‘Arab Labor’ won the award for Best TV series at the Jerusalem Film Festival in July 2008. In September 2007, ‘Arab Labor’ won the Sharon Amrani TV Drama award, with the kind assistance of the Makor foundation. The series was also presented at prestigious international film festivals around the world including Berlin, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, London and Miami.

Nadav Palti, CEO & President of DMG, commented: “We are very honored to win once again an Accolade award this year for our TV series ‘Arab Labor’, produced by Dori Media Paran. This unique series tackles with humor the difficult subject of cultural stereotypes, integration and coexistence. Receiving this award confirms the quality and talent of our team of producers, directors and actors and highlights intercommunity issues common to many countries beyond Israel.”
