Northampton, UK 2nd October 2008 – Intamac Systems Ltd the market leader in Home Monitoring, have unveiled their work with Thomson (Euronext 18453 ; NYSE ; TMS), the worldwide leader in video solutions, and demonstrated their advanced interactive web based home monitoring and control services using their new generation of broadband, wireless, self-install home monitoring products at the Broadband World Forum.

The Broadband World Forum Conference and Exhibition recognizes the market potential for the latest broadband content and applications, ranging from entertainment and cutting edge technology to services, solutions and enterprise environments. This world renowned technology exhibition proudly showcases some of the most dynamic broadband technologies, and runs from 29 September to 02 October at the Brussels Expo, Brussels, Belgium.

These new products and services represent the first in a wave of new bundled monitoring propositions for the home. Including low cost video, these new services are specifically designed to leverage the value of broadband and provide new recurring revenue streams for established operators and service providers. By using Thomson’s unique open SW architecture, the Intamac remote platform can network a range of disparate devices in consumers’ homes, and signal alarms and report a range of events to the user in their home using VoIP, the DECT phone interface, and devices such as digital picture frame.

This unique partnership has immediate advantages in the installation and operation of a variety of devices and advanced applications, from domestic security and environmental management, to care and monitoring of the elderly. Most importantly, it demonstrates the possibilities of leveraging the home gateway to generate increased revenues for service providers, without having to demand customer investment in completely new hardware or complicated installation.

Intamac’s founder and CEO Kevin Meagher commented, “There is an exciting market for bundled services and our next generation of products give consumers exciting new services that exploit the benefits of broadband and the home network. Service providers benefit from increased revenue and reduced churn. We are a company focused on using technology to deliver innovation. Previewing these new capabilities working live with Thomson gateways at the World Broadband Forum is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the potential benefit to service providers, and help show the future capabilities and services we are capable of providing to the wider global market.”

Intamac Systems Ltd will be showcasing their solutions on the Thomson stand at The Broadband World Forum, in the Main Hall on exhibition booth number 350.
