Kodak Board Appoints Hirschland Vice President

Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) announced today that its Board of Directors has elected Richard S. Hirschland a Vice President of the company, effective immediately.
Hirschland, 44, is General Manager, Worldwide Dental Business and a Kodak vice president. This business includes the dental x-ray films and digital x-ray systems, practice management systems, as well as dental anesthetics, digital photographic cameras, and printing solutions for dental applications.

Hirschland joined Kodak in 1983 in the Industrial Engineering Department within Kodak’s Equipment Manufacturing Division. After working as an Industrial Engineer in the company’s Parts Manufacturing, Procurement, Clinical Products Division and Health Sciences Divisions, he held leadership roles in successive assignments within the Health Sciences equipment assembly operations. In 1991, he became Assistant to the Vice President and General Manager of Health Sciences Research Development and Manufacturing. In 1992, Hirschland was appointed Marketing Product Line Manager for Kodak Health Sciences’ analog equipment systems.

In 1995, Hirschland relocated to Atlanta, Ga., and became Marketing Operations Director for the Southeastern U.S. He was promoted in 1997 to National Sales Manager and Vice President for Health Imaging’s U.S. sales force, where he managed more than 100 sales professionals across the U.S.
