Dori Media Group (“Dori Media” or “DMG”) (LSE:DMG), the international media company active in the field of television, with a focus on production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of Telenovela, announces the successful launch of two local adaptations of its hit Telenovela “LaLola” in Greece and Belgium. This follows recent successful launches of local versions in Spain and Turkey.

During its first two days on air in Greece, “LaLola” achieved a 30% audience share of its target group of viewers aged between 15-44 years old. In Belgium, the show has been launched on leading Flemish commercial TV channel “VTM” under the name “LouisLouise”, produced by Studio A. On its initial prime time slot, the series achieved a record 41% audience share, ahead of any other programs on Flemish channels. The show attracted an estimated 1 million viewers aged between 18 and 54 years old, which is 100,000 more than “Ugly Betty” last year.

Since it was first broadcasted in Argentina, less than a year ago, the show has been sold to 57 countries. A localized Spanish version of “LaLola” started being broadcasted on Antena 3 in Spain in July and achieved a 17% share of audience, nearly as much as the Wimbledon tennis championship final won by Spanish player Rafael Nadal on a different channel. A US primetime version of “LaLola”, produced by Sony Pictures Television is expected to be aired by US network Fox Broadcasting Company, sometime during 2009 with other formats of the show due to be broadcasted in Chile, Turkey, Russia, France and Italy among other countries in 2009.

“LaLola” is a Dori Media Contenidos production based on an idea by Sebastian Ortega for Underground Contenidos. The scale of its success has been immense, leading to recognition from the broadcasting industry. The show won nine awards including the top Golden one at the 38th Martin Fierro TV awards in Argentina in July, making it the biggest winner at the ceremony. Furthermore, “LaLola” was also voted best fiction of the year at the Fund TV awards recently held in Argentina. At this year’s prestigious International Emmy Awards, “LaLola” was regional semi-finalist in the Telenovela category.

Nadav Palti, CEO & President of DMG, commented: “We are very pleased with the continuing success of “LaLola”. The audience ratings have been excellent in each country “LaLola” has been broadcasted, whether it has been in its original version or in adapted local formats. We look forward to further breakthroughs for the show in other western European markets where the appetite for the Telenovela genre continues to grow.”
