ActionFront Data Recovery Labs Becomes A Seagate Company
ActionFront Data Recovery Labs, a leader in resolving business-critical data loss, will henceforth be known as “ActionFront Data Recovery Labs, a Seagate Company” to reflect its new status as a wholly owned subsidiary of Seagate Technology. The addition of ActionFront Data Recovery Labs enables Seagate to provide a continuum of full service to its customers worldwide. Through its ownership by Seagate, ActionFront Data Recovery Labs is now uniquely positioned to benefit directly from Seagate’s extensive engineering and other resources, bringing valuable insight and advancement to the data recovery industry.
Seagate, the world’s leading hard drive manufacturer and innovator, is renowned for exceptional product quality supported by its unprecedented five-year limited warranty. Seagate also provides back-up products and services to protect hard drive content vulnerable to human error, viruses, natural disasters and device failure. As a last line of digital defense for data loss, Seagate has now enhanced its data protection offerings by introducing data recovery as a separate service from Seagate’s limited warranty that customers can purchase if they ever need it.
Following a comprehensive, world-wide search for a partner with which to provide data recovery services, Seagate selected ActionFront. “ActionFront Data Recovery stood well ahead of its competitors in the areas of recovery success rates, server recovery expertise, R&D commitment and customer service excellence,” stated Mark Grace, Senior Vice President, Seagate Sales Operations and Services. “In addition, ActionFront was the only data recovery organization that had implemented a structured quality management system with ISO 9001:2000 certification.” The highly successful launch of Seagate Data Recovery Services in April 2005, under contract with ActionFront, was followed by Seagate’s acquisition of the company in late 2005.
