GTX and My Athlete are ‘Off and Running’ with gpVector™ Powered Athlete Tracking System (ATS)
GTX Corp (OTCBB:GTXO), a leader in the licensing of GPS/PLS embedded miniaturized 2 Way GPS™ technology, today announced the fulfillment of the order received from My Athlete LLC in May, which came on the heels of My Athlete’s successful soft launch at the Boston Marathon. My Athlete will deploy the units this weekend at the Ford Ironman© World Championships in Kona, HI.
Murray Williams, GTX Corp’s Chief Financial Officer stated “This latest shipment to My Athlete marks our transition from a product development company to a revenue generating enterprise. Licensing our gpVector™ platform hosting the MyAthlete™ ATS on our servers, generates immediate and recurring revenues for the company.”
The MyAthlete™ tracking device is worn on the racer’s belt and transmits his or her location as gathered by the miniaturized 2 Way GPS™ technology onboard via wireless carrier network connectivity in real time every minute they are on a racecourse. Once the location data is received by the GTX Corp servers and proprietary processing software, it is transformed into a breadcrumb trail that is displayed on the MyAthlete™ tracking web portal, using a Google Maps format. It can be viewed from any web browser running Internet Explorer™, Safari™ or Mozilla Firefox™ on PCs, laptops or mobile devices such as the Apple iPhone™ and Blackberry™ smart phones.
