Xerox Offers Broadest Range of Office Printers, Copiers That Meet International Standard for Security
Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) has earned the international standard in information security for 12 more of its mid- and high-speed office multifunction products. These systems join 18 other Xerox digital color and black-and-white office products, giving Xerox the broadest array of printers and copiers certified to meet customers’ strictest security requirements.
The Xerox WorkCentreâ„¢ 232/238/245/255/265/275 copier-printers and the six corresponding WorkCentreâ„¢ Pro advanced multifunction systems — which print, copy, fax, scan and e-mail — received the National Information Assurance Partnership’s Common Criteria Certification following comprehensive evaluation and testing. NIAP is a U.S. government initiative created to meet the security testing needs of IT consumers and companies. Unlike other document services vendors, Xerox has the entire multifunction system evaluated, rather than just a security kit or an individual security feature.
“The competition says ‘trust me,’ but Xerox understands security-conscious customers need proof when the protection of critical information is at stake,” said Tim Williams, president, Xerox Office Group. “Certifying only a security kit or feature is like locking your front door but leaving your back door and windows wide open. That’s why Xerox goes through the rigorous process of having the entire system evaluated.”
