“It’s Not Hard To Find” Campaign Promotes Comcast SportsNet Bay Area’s Comprehensive, Exclusive Television Coverage of San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors

Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, the home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports,” is launching a new campaign to support Comcast SportsNet’s commitment to provide comprehensive, exclusive coverage of the NHL San Jose Sharks and the NBA Golden State Warriors. The campaign, which launches in early October and runs throughout the 2008-09 NHL and NBA seasons, uses humor and the slogan “It’s not hard to find” to remind fans where to go for insider coverage of their favorite teams.

“The ‘It’s not hard to find’ campaign reinforces Comcast SportsNet Bay Area as the home of Sharks hockey and Warriors basketball in Northern California,” said Tom Pellack, Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. “Sports are a fun and everyday part of people’s lives and we’re using humor to remind people that Comcast SportsNet is the place for local coverage.”

The campaign, created in consultation with the agency BBDO West, features Sharks and Warriors players “hiding” in obvious places in everyday settings including behind a rock at the beach, standing like a tree in the forest, behind a backyard lawn chair, and behind a living room lamp, and displaying the slogans “It’s not hard to find the Sharks” and “It’s not hard to find the Warriors.” Complementary radio ads ask listeners to “find” the Sharks or Warriors amidst sounds of honking cars, crying babies, rushing water, and, of course, the sound of a hockey or basketball game.

The extensive multimedia campaign includes in-arena signage in HP Pavilion at San Jose and Oracle Arena, television, print and radio advertisements on leading regional outlets, BART train signage, and online advertisements on ComcastSportsNet.com.

This season, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area is presenting 70 Sharks games including 40 High Definition telecasts and 70 Warriors match ups with 40 games in HD.
