Chile ’s Integramedica Selects IBM to Integrate, Optimize Medical and Business Applications

Leading Chilean health care provider Integramedica has selected IBM to help optimize its resources and better manage its medical records, making its business more efficient and improving patient care.

IBM will implement and provide service for an SAP-based solution to redefine, integrate and modernize applications for more reliable management and control of Integramedica’s operations, advanced disease management records, patient histories, consultation types and health-care specific processes.

Additionally, the health care company will benefit from more efficient financial operations, internal controls and supply chain. The project also involves shifting from traditional paper-based medical records to handling of patient histories online. Integramedica was founded in 1994 has more than 1,000 specialized physicians and 470 complementary health care professionals working at 16 medical centers in Santiago.
