Books-A-Million Celebrates Grand Opening in Blacksburg, Virginia

Books-A-Million, Inc. (NASDAQ:BAMM) will celebrate the grand opening of its 15,500-square-foot store at 1540 S. Main Street in Blacksburg, Virginia, October 17 and 18 with community and children’s activities.

The grand opening celebration will begin Friday, October 17, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the store’s staff and Blacksburg Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m. Activities include story time at 10:30 a.m. with Clifford the Big Red Dog, and authors Jenna Black and Alexandra Sokoloff signing their newest titles at 7 p.m.

The celebration continues on Saturday, October 18, at Noon with story times, children’s activities and tea sampling in the Joe Muggs Café.

Blacksburg residents who are new Books-A-Million patrons are encouraged to sign up for the Millionaire’s Club, where members save 40 percent off bestsellers, 20 percent off hundreds of items throughout the store and 10 percent off everything, everyday. The bookseller also offers discount programs for teachers and community organizations.
