New pan-Asian event to bring together communications service providers to discuss upcoming challenges for the diverse region
TM Forum announced today their new pan-Asian event – Management World Asia – to be held in Singapore, January 12 to 15, 2009 at Raffles City Convention Centre. The event will examine the upcoming challenges for this diverse region, through a C-level keynote led conference; TM Forum certified training and industry exposition.
With telecommunications revenues for Asia expected to exceed North America for the first time in 2008, there has never been a more critical time for regional communications service providers to discuss the key challenges facing the market, as they embrace opportunities in the extended value chain of content, digital commerce and advertising.
Management World Asia in 2009 will build on the success of previous regional events in India, China, Japan and Kuala Lumpur to provide an event for the whole of Asia. The event will offer scope to better assess and address Business Transformation – looking at ways to reduce costs, improve processes and to deliver new services. At the conference, attendees will be able to see how to:
Identify the challenges and opportunities for business transformation to help companies survive in an increasingly competitive market;
Reduce friction in the content value chain – understand how value chains are changing and new business opportunities they can deliver;
Rollout IPTV and Mobile TV Services – challenges and lessons learnt rolling out these new services;
Find out about perception and charging issues for Mobile Advertising and Personalization;
Maximize customer experience and customer retention;
Hear about revenue models for new generation services – the latest trends in billing, charging and revenue assurance;
Management World Asia will bring together top experts to discuss, explore and solve the industry’s most pressing issues. Keynote speakers will include:
Dr. Shyue-Ching Lu, Chairman & CEO, Chunghwa Telecom;
Paul Berriman, Chief Technology Officer, PCCW and;
Sigve Brekke, Executive Vice President and Head of Region Asia, Telenor ASA
The event will also include expert speakers from major regional service providers including Shwu ong Ong, Principal Quality Manager SingTel, Chris Thompson, Head of Sales and Marketing, Next Generation Telecoms, Telecom New Zealand and Bengris Pasaribu, Manager TMN Laboratories, Telkom Indonesia.
