Kodak Volunteers and Mammography Products Support Day of Caring Event
Volunteers from several employee networks at Eastman Kodak Company and colleagues from the African-American and Latino leadership development programs of the United Way of Greater Rochester have organized a community campaign to raise awareness for early screening and detection of breast cancer in communities of color. As part of the May 3 United Way Day of Caring, the event will feature a full day of free screening mammograms.
In support of this effort, Kodak’s Health Group will donate mammography film to Highland Hospital. The Breast Care Center currently uses Kodak products, including the Min-R 2000 film, KODAK MIN-R 2 Cassettes with Min-R 2000 Screens, KODAK X-OMAT EX II Developer, KODAK RP X-OMAT LO Fixer, and a KODAK X-OMAT 3000 RA Processor.
“Kodak’s contribution demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to supporting the communities where our employees live and work,†said Kevin Hobert, President, Health Group and Senior Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. “The outreach and educational activities are also consistent with the value that Kodak places on maintaining a healthy and engaged work force,†said Dr. Michelle Butler, lead organizer and environmental engineer in the Health Safety and Environment organization of Kodak.
