SiS741CX Adopted by Samsung to Involve in Network MFM Market

Taipei, May 9th, 2006—Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) today reveals the success of putting efforts into co-developing Network MFM (Multi Function Monitor) with Korean leading monitor manufacturer—Samsung Electronics Co., LTD., Digital Media Business, Visual Display Division. SiS741CX is an outstanding chipset designed for embedded systems and has been equipped in Samsung Network MFM (Multi Function Monitor) 400Pn series. The adoption demonstrates SiS’ ability to extend the application of its products into digital signage and public information market

The Samsung 400Pn series Network MFM not only features a 40-inch LCD monitor, but also includes some functions of computer. The fundamental technology is based on SiS741CX embedded systems chipset. With the support of this advanced chipset, the high-end performance of Samsung 400Pn series Network MFM expresses to an extreme. You will be able download and play MP3, check e-mail, and see a movie whenever you want to, do on-line shopping or even play on-line games easily through such Network MFM.

Samsung 400Pn Series Network MFM is combined with proprietary DNIe (Digital Natural Image engine) technology to have brighter and more sophisticated display. Also, through MagicNetTM Ethernet network, the image can be transmitted from server by connecting to the internet. Moreover, 400Pn Series Network MFM provides different supports to multimedia functions such as Picture-in Picture, Picture-by-Picture, and Picture-on Picture to synchronize the images of computer and TV.
