Iris to expand its channel presence, add more partners for distribution of Xenitis low-price PCs nationally

New Delhi, May 08, 2006: Iris Computers Limited, one of the top five and fast growing IT distribution companies in India representing technology brands of global repute like IBM, Lenovo, HP, Compaq, Acer, and BenQ today announced that it will expand its channel presence across the country from existing 1,100 partners to 2,000 by the end of year 2006. This comes close on the heels of a major expansion announced in the recent past when Iris Computers set up nine new offices including B & C class cities, taking the count of its branch offices to 23 spread across all regions in the country and targeting the upcountry and metro markets alike.

According to Sanjiv Krishen, Chairman, Iris Computers Limited, “It is only logical for us to expand our presence both in terms of channel and branch offices. Addition of Xenitis amidst IT brands we distribute nationally and an impetus on record sales that we have been generating for other brands incessantly over the years call for such an expansion. This is in accordance of our aim to become Rs 500 crore company by the close of the current fiscal.”

According to Ms. Kamini Talwar, Director, Iris Computers Limited, “The recent tie-up with Xenitis brand for distributing their low-priced PCs nationally will add to our revenues for the year 2006-2007 in a big way. Xenitis has helped breaking the price barrier when it comes to mass adoption of IT by redefining the price points. We have identified 210 resellers across the country for Xenitis business and would soon be adding 20 more to the list to fulfill the Xenitis requirement.”

Iris Computers has received a phenomenal response from some of the B & C class cities. In the first month of operation, the Company has received orders worth Rs 1 crore from Jammu itself. “This is quite encouraging, considering the fact that Jammu is not rated as a big market when it comes to IT product distribution. Buoyed by this response we are planning to reach at least 10 new cities like Indore, Vijaywada etc., every year,” adds Mr. Krishen.
