Vertex Reinforces Board Structure With New Appointment

Vertex, a leading outsourcing and IT services company, has appointed Susie Buffam to assume the role of EVP, Head of Shared Services where she will now sit as a Director on the main Vertex Board.

Susie has worked for the company as Head of International Operations since 2007 and has led Vertex operations in North America and India whilst also being responsible for operational shared services globally. She takes on her new Board level role with immediate effect.

Susie has a wealth of relevant experience having spent several years in retail financial services, in senior roles in Operations, Vendor Management, Finance, and Business Planning at RBS Card Services, Citigroup, and Juniper Bank (now Barclaycard US).

She has led major transition, turnaround, and change efforts in both start-up and established organisations. Susie began her career at Goldman Sachs with assignments in both New York and London. She has a BA in English from Wheaton College in Illinois, a Masters in Education from Eastern University in Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Columbia University in New York City.

Commenting on her new appointment, Susie Buffam said, “This is a great opportunity for me to contribute through the next stage of Vertex’s planned and ambitious journey.
