Sprint Nextel Event at South Carolina State Fairgrounds Demonstrates Rapid Deployment Solutions for Emergency Response

WHAT:
Recent hurricanes throughout the Southeast have raised awareness to the need for more strategic emergency preparedness and response. First responders from agencies throughout South Carolina will witness and participate in a demonstration of deployment of communications and other infrastructure for catastrophic events. State and local agencies have signed up to participate in the Sprint Emergency Response Team’s live, over-the-air tactical exercise designed to address:

Catastrophic incident response;
Emergency preparedness and response;
Disaster Recovery;
Rapid deployment of IP and wireless communications systems; and
Public safety access to real-time information
