SentriLock is Rated Number One Lockbox in Industry for Second Consecutive Year

National Survey Puts Company at Top in Four of Five Categories, Including Overall Satisfaction, Lockbox Product, Service and System
For the second consecutive year, SentriLock (http://www.sentrilock.com), a leading provider of electronic lockbox solutions for the real estate industry, has been rated America’s number one lockbox provider in four out of five key areas, including overall satisfaction, according to a national survey1. The survey also rated SentriLock number one in lockbox product, service and system.
“We were extremely happy and proud last year when we were rated at the top, so I can’t begin to describe how pleased we all are to claim the number one spot two straight years,” SentriLock President and CEO Scott Fisher said. “Our mission from day one has been to partner with the industry to identify real estate professionals’ preferences in lockbox features—and then deliver products that not only meet, but exceed their high standards and expectations.”
In terms of overall satisfaction, the top three lockboxes were rated on a scale of 1 to 5, with “1” indicating very negative and “5” indicating very positive. With an average overall satisfaction rating of 3.93, SentriLock scored the highest.
The survey was distributed in September 2008 to 1,094 local and state REALTOR® Association Executives (AEs) and MLS executives, and was conducted by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®’ Marketing Research Department.
The survey asked respondents to rank several factors in order of importance when selecting a lockbox vendor. AEs and MLS executives said simplicity of use, price and home security were the three highest priorities when selecting a lockbox vendor.
Respondents ranked conversion/expense, member disruption and resistance to change by their members as the “most significant barriers” to changing lockbox providers.
Unlike any other lockbox system, SentriLock’s REALTOR® Lockbox NXT product is built using “smart” technology (such as an electronic keypad) built into the box that is combined with smart-card technology. Using the smart-card technology, real estate professionals open the lockbox using their personal SentriCard®, a hotel-card-sized electronic access key. As a result of this unique use of smart technology, all lockbox settings and showing information are Web-based and can quickly and easily be managed by agents.
As just one example, the REALTOR® Lockbox NXT “one-day code” feature allows even non-SentriLock users — such as agents from outside the area, contractors, and appraisers — to have limited but secure access to the lockbox when provided a one-day code authorized by the listing agent.
