Seagate Gives Top Resellers the Chance to Catch World Soccer Fever in Person in Germany
World soccer fever is sweeping the globe, and Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX), the world’s leading hard drive company, along with its manufacturing representative, Ocean Technology, announced today a promotional event that will give local hard drive resellers a chance to experience soccer’s excitement in person in Germany this summer. The promotion runs from April 10 to May 19. Eleven winners will be chosen to travel to Germany. Winners will be chosen and notified after May 22.
The promotion is especially designed for hard drive resellers in the Yongsan Electronic Mart in Seoul. Seagate will offer the Germany tour package to 11 people, including 10 resellers with excellent performance in selling Seagate’s 3.5-inch SATA Barracuda hard drives. Seagate will also offer one online user who has demonstrated excellence in promoting Seagate drives on the kbench (www.kbench.com) web site. The tour package includes air fare, accommodations and a ticket to the Korea-Switzerland match to see star players like Korea’s Ji-sung Park and Switzerland’s Alexander Frei in action Ji-sung Park, who currently plays for the legendary Manchester United, helped Korea’s team to a remarkable semifinal run in 2002. Can they repeat that brilliant performance in Germany?
“The 2006 Germany world soccer promotion is specially designed for Korean resellers as a way to extend our thanks and appreciation for helping to increase sales of Seagate’s Barracuda SATA drives in the fast-growing Korean market,” said Ben Seng Teh, Seagate vice president and managing director for Asia-Pacific Sales and Marketing. “This international soccer tournament is a one-of-a-kind sporting event, followed by millions of people around the globe, and there’s nothing like seeing the action in person.”
