IT major recognized for transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder value, knowledge sharing and enterprise-wide collaboration
Bangalore, November 6th, 2008 – Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT) today announced that it has been recognized as a winner of the 2008 Indian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises MAKE Award and was ranked third in the Information Technology sector in ‘transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder value’. This is the fourth time that Wipro Technologies has been recognized as an Indian MAKE winner.
The formal announcement was made at Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) KM India Summit, 2008 where Wipro was recognized under the following categories — ‘creating a corporate knowledge-driven culture’, ‘developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership’, ‘delivering knowledge-based products/solutions’, ‘maximizing enterprise intellectual capital’, ‘creating an environment for collaborative knowledge sharing’, ‘creating a learning organization’ and ‘delivering value based on customer knowledge’. It was ranked third in ‘Transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder value’.
