Bangalore , November 12th, 2008: Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), today announced that its Supply Chain Practice has successfully engaged with Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) the largest customer-owned health insurer in the United States to successfully transform their Strategic Sourcing and Procurement processes and help them establish their leadership position in the industry. The engagement helped HCSC gain better control and visibility on spend and drive efficiencies through the sourcing and procurement organizations after a successful implementation of the Ariba spend management suite of applications.

The key highlights of this unique model are that it cuts down the implementation cost by 30 % over the traditional model and provides approximately 40% overhead reduction, resulting in a higher ROI from their enterprise application initiatives.
