AirMagnet Inc., the leader in security, performance and compliance solutions for wireless LANs, today announced that iPath Pty. Ltd., one of Australia’s leading experts for wireless networking, is using AirMagnet’s WiFi Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Survey, Planner and Enterprise products to plan, deploy and manage wireless networks at customer sites throughout APAC. Key customers include The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Oil Search, and several new 802.11n deployments with the Sydney Airport Corporation Limited and the Department of Health and Human Services Tasmania.

“Our team spends a lot of time researching the latest wireless technologies and the tools driving adoption, such as AirMagnet’s applications. We have found that the company’s products offer the best enterprise-grade wireless LAN planning and management products on the market today,” said Emiel Temmerman, Operations Director at iPath. “They allow us to streamline the design and integration of new networks, as well as effectively troubleshoot them once deployed for security and performance. In addition, in many cases after planning and deploying a new network, the customer wants to handle the ongoing management. In that case, AirMagnet is equally valuable, offering solutions that can easily be transitioned to internal team members.”

iPath was established in 2000 and works on major wireless infrastructure projects throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company’s services focus on high-quality, cost-effective design and deployment solutions for 802.11a/b/g/n, 802.16, 802.20 and Bluetooth. These include voice, video and data services, temporary wireless solutions for special events, hotspots, guest access at hotels and much more.

“Our wireless network is a critical component for our business and handles applications that are vital for clinical patient care,” said Michael Dickinson, IT Manager at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. “iPath came into our organization, modeled and designed the network, tested that design to ensure functionality and performance, and rolled it out in a short time frame. Their expertise, along with AirMagnet tools, assisted in making the entire process run as smoothly as possible.”
