Seagate is Widely Recognized by the Chinese Media for its Industry-Leading Products

Seagate’s new Barracuda 7200.9 hard drive for PC applications has been recognized by numerous Chinese publications for its industry- leading combination of performance, reliability and capacity since its launch in China last October. CHIP and CE World voted Seagate’s Barracuda 7200.9 drive as its “Product of the Year,” PCHome.net rated the Barracuda 7200.9 drive “The Most Reliable Product,” while PC DIY and Popular Computer Week recognized it as the “Recommended Product of the Year 2006″ and “Editor’s Choice,” respectively.

In January, Seagate’s best-selling Barracuda 7200.8 hard drive was ranked among the “Top 10 HDD Products of the Year” from one of the most popular Chinese product-review Web sites, www.163.net. Moreover, the most authoritative review/benchmark specialist CHIP named the Barracuda 7200.8 drive an “Editors’ Choice” product in March.
