Launch of SQLServerPedia, with Community-based Wiki, Offers Real-World Insight Into SQL Server
PASS 2008 Conference
Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) continues to affirm its commitment to the SQL Server community with the announcement of a new online resource for SQL Server professionals. Quest will unveil SQLServerPedia™ at the upcoming PASS (Professional Association for SQL Server) 2008 Conference in Seattle November 18 – 21.
SQLServerPedia will offer a wealth of real-world information contributed by everyone, from SQL Server MVPs to everyday users, with content carefully managed by an editorial board of domain experts. A highlight of SQLServerPedia is its community-based, vendor-neutral wiki, where all content is free and trustworthy. Quest also will host a variety of activities at PASS, including a free breakfast seminar featuring an expert panel discussing “Automating DBA Processes for SQL Server 2005/2008.”
“Last year at PASS, we rolled out our private, invitation-only SQL Server Experts Community, which continues to be a huge success. This year, we are going broader and deeper with SQLServerPedia, a resource that provides solutions for everyday SQL Server challenges, and will benefit every member of the SQL Server community,” said Billy Bosworth, vice president and general manager of SQL Server products, Quest Software. “With the disparity of information available – in everything from blogs to magazines to Microsoft’s own resources – personalized, meaningful answers can be difficult to find. The real power of SQLServerPedia is in providing those answers.”
