Combination of CA SiteMinder Web Access Manager and Deloitte’s Integration Capabilities Helps Organizations to Securely Extend Enterprise Web Business
CA, Inc. (NASDAQ: CA) and Deloitte* announced today the launch of “Protecting Web Business Infrastructures with CA SiteMinder®,” a joint solution which helps organizations mitigate IT security-related risks and reduce application development and operational costs for SAP® solution-based infrastructures. The combination of CA’s technology, SiteMinder Web Access Manager (WAM), and Deloitte’s field-tested Identity and Access Management methodology (IAMethods), leveraged within Deloitte’s Enterprise Business & Security Optimization (EBSO) solution, provides use-case based scenarios. These scenarios support enterprise Web access management solutions which can help to secure Web business applications and portals for employees, clients, and business partners.
As enterprises enable their SAP applications to allow for direct interface with customers and business partners, unintended security and compliance challenges can arise that may impact the end-user experience. CA and Deloitte’s “Protecting Web Business Infrastructures with CA SiteMinder” joint offering provides a solution to mitigate these risks by providing both the technical and functional solution required to help further secure the application and enhance the user’s experience.
“SAP clients and prospects want confidence that they can seamlessly secure mission-critical Web-based applications and services without compromising the user experience,” said Dave Hansen, corporate senior vice president and general manager, CA Security Management. “The CA and Deloitte joint solution delivers superior technology with CA SiteMinder Web Access Manager and experience from Deloitte to give our joint customers that peace of mind.”
The solution helps organizations align functional requirements with technology and extend their traditional SAP solution-based environment while facilitating a secure and consistent end-user experience. It also enables organizations to use a centralized access management process to provide seamless, integrated single sign-on between various Web application environments, including those running SAP solutions. CA SiteMinder WAM provides the authentication and authorization technology that helps protect an organization’s critical Web-based applications, while Deloitte’s EBSO approach helps align business and technology enabling organizations to establish a foundational, integrated, and transparent information technology environment.
“We are working closely with CA and our SAP Center of Excellence (COE) to provide our clients with extensive knowledge of the solutions and integration with a large field-experienced support team. The combination enables us to jumpstart the integration process and expedite issue resolution,” said Deborah Golden, principal at Deloitte & Touche LLP. “Our phase-based approach helps clients to identify requirements, implement the solution, and provide client training and solution transition, creating a more successful implementation. Together with CA, we are working to improve enterprise security and value, and to bring these new solutions to market.”
