Richardson, Texas-based Convey Computer Corporation was recognized today as one of the Editor’s Choice: Top 5 Vendors to Watch in 2009 during the annual HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards, presented at the 2008 International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC08), in Austin, Texas. This makes the second prestigious industry award to be given to Convey at SC08. The company previously announced that founder and Chief Scientist Steve Wallach will also be recognized as this year’s Seymour Cray Award winner presented by IEEE later in the week.

Diane Lieberman, publisher of HPCwire, revealed the list of winners at the HPCwire booth at the event being held at the Austin Convention Center. The coveted HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards are determined through online polling of the global HPCwire audience, along with a rigorous selection process involving HPCwire editors and industry luminaries. The awards are an annual feature of the publication and constitute prestigious recognition from the HPC community. These awards are revealed each year to kick off the conference, which showcases high performance computing, networking, storage, and data analysis.
