Seagate Sweeps 2006 System Builders Choice Awards for Hard Drives

System builders for the second consecutive year have crowned Seagate (NYSE:STX) the top provider of hard drives on the strength of enterprise, desktop and notebook drives that deliver the highest levels of performance, capacity and reliability.

Seagate took the top spot in last year’s poll of Canada’s top 300 system builders, the inaugural year of the CRN Canada System Builders Choice Awards, and repeated the feat in 2006 as the system pros ranked vendors in 18 product areas. Seagate, which won in the hard drive performance and capacity categories, was among vendors evaluated in areas such as product quality, reliability, compatibility, salability, profitability, and availability, vendor responsiveness, and marketing, sales and technical support.
