Wilson is now the official ball for All India Tennis Association (AITA)

Hyderabad, 19 November 2008: Wilson championship ball has been recognized as the official tennis ball for the ALL INDIA TENNIS ASSOCIATION (AITA). It will now be officially used in all the tennis events organized by AITA in future. Getting the prestigious recognition has not been a cakewalk for Wilson. Over the last few months, it needed to go through many tests and verifications to prove itself as a consistent performing product that works under all climatic, ground and surface conditions in India. The Wilson tennis ball was also used in several national and ground level tournaments to get the required verification.

Wilson tennis ball will now be officially used in the following events:

1. DSCL National’s
2. All State ranking Tournaments

3. SAI (Sports Authority Of India) – designate approved(pending official declaration)
4. Chennai Open (Largest ATP Ranking Tournament in India)

5. Davis Cup
6. Asian Team Championships (To be held at Pune & Indore – Dec 2008)

7. Women’s ITF US $ 10000.

8. All ground level (talent series/Super series) AITA events

9. Commonwealth games 2010
