A New Way to Communicate Using Digital Stickies

Infoteria Online Corporation has announced the release today of a Korean language version of its Online Stickies lino service.

URL : http://ko.linoit.com/ (Korean language version)

Online Stickies lino is a free service that provides users with stickies and canvases that can be used with just a browser. Users can easily create and post memos and ToDo stickies on canvases, and move and remove them at will. Because lino stickies can be tagged and dated, they are easy to organize. Photos and video clips can also be posted, and lino canvases can be used privately or shared with others on the Internet. Photos can be laid out freely, and canvases can also be used as spaces for website or blog visitors to post comments. One great way of using lino is for a specific group of people such as work colleagues or school classmates to share canvases, posting ideas or messages on them. By taking the familiar concept of stickies online, lino offers a new way to use stickies and communicate with others that is unrivaled in its ease of use.
Key lino features

– Stickies
Stickies in ten colors, see-through stickies, photo stickies, video stickies (including YouTube videos)

– ToDo
Stickies can be dated and set up so that notifications are emailed to the user on the morning of the date specified.

– Tags
Stickies can be tagged. Clicking on a tag highlights all other stickies with the same tag.

– Mini-Calendar
If a date is attached to a stickie, it shows up on the calendar in the form of a mark on that day. Clicking on the mark brings up a list of stickies for that day in the center of the screen.

– Canvas
Users can create canvases for various uses, and change canvas surfaces as they wish. Canvases can be set to private access, access by “My Friends” only, or access by anyone (public).

– Groups
Users can set up a group whose members can share canvases and stickies.

– Automatic display of new stickies
When another user posts a stickie on a shared canvas, it is displayed automatically, and so users can use lino almost like a chat service.

– Dashboard
This shows all updates made to private, group and public canvases at a glance.

– RSS feed
The contents of stickies posed on a canvas can also be accessed through an RSS feed.

– Integration with Outlook and Google calendars
Contents of dated stickies can be exported in iCalendar format.

– “lino it” bookmarklet
This can be used to post the addresses of web pages currently being viewed or images from them directly onto a lino canvas.

– “lino anywhere” bookmarklet
Clicking on this bookmarklet while browsing websites other than lino will cause stickies from the user’s main canvas to be displayed on top of the page being viewed.

– Emailed stickies
Each canvas is given an email address, enabling text or photos to be posted as stickies by email.

– Support for OpenID
lino accounts can be created using OpenID.

– Supported browsers
Firefox2, Firefox3, Safari3, IE6, IE7
