eBD Soft To Provide Over $200,000 in Design Improvements

Miami Sisters, Founders of ArtistaMundo.com, an Online Artists Community, Poised to Become Global Leaders in Artist Networking Community

ArtistaMundo.com (www.artistamundo.com), a Miami-based online networking community for artists from the Spanish- and English-speaking world, today announced a partnership with eBD Soft (www.ebdsoft.com), a Barcelona software designer and manufacturer of leading web applications for businesses. As part of the partnership agreement, eBD Soft will enhance the ArtistaMundo.com website to become a fully interactive site with the latest web 2.0 developments in visual-graphics and web-based technologies.

The eBD Soft partnership represents a major influx of web-based talent and technological expertise to ArtistaMundo.com. Over the past two months the combined team has accelerated the development of the site’s new and improved version, which will be launched this week in conjunction with the start of Art Basel Miami. With over 1,500 artist members and tens of thousands pieces of art on file, the new version is expected to greatly increase membership in ArtistaMundo.com.

Founder and President Cristina Figueredo Zizold created the free and simple-to-build online studios for individual artists following the concept reminiscent of the artists’ guilds from the Renaissance times: to help artists gain the exposure and support available by joining such a community. “We’re convinced that ArtistaMundo.com will become a great resource for artists by providing an interactive platform to gain exposure, exchange ideas, and interact within a global arts community,” Figueredo Zizold said. “We’re very excited about the great potential, talent, and commitment eBD Soft brings to our company. With their support and technological expertise, we’ll now have the latest technology available to our members,” she added.

Raul Martin, President of eBD Soft, expressed his enthusiasm for the potential growth an online community of Spanish- and English-speaking artists could realize. “Over the past few years we have created websites for many major multinational clients, but the ArtistaMundo.com concept of forming a global community of artists was especially appealing to our eBD Soft executive team,” Martin said. “It was evident to us that this was a unique concept with a well-developed business model that also combined a highly talented team of bilingual, U.S. Hispanic professionals,” he stated.

Martin Perez, CEO and General Manager of eBD Soft, was also very impressed by the ArtistaMundo.com Miami team, led by Cristina and her two sisters, Annette and Alexandra. “The energy, excitement and passion exhibited by the three sisters and the other members of their Miami office team were evident as soon as we started working with them,” Perez added. “We believe that their concept of an online community of artists capable of accepting Spanish and English speaking artists will quickly expand and attract tens of thousands of new members in the future.”

Of special interest is the way the three Miami sisters complemented their talents to bring Cristina’s vision of a global online community of artists into reality. Cristina, an artist and art-historian, envisioned a Renaissance-style guild while studying in Florence, Italy. The guilds of the 1500’s were created to protect and promote artists of that time. Cristina felt emerging artists should also be protected and promoted through an online “guild.” Her vision was to use two widely spoken languages, Spanish and English, to facilitate the formation of such a guild, or community, by allowing artists to easily come together into one single community.

After returning to Miami, Cristina discussed this concept with her two sisters, Annette and Alexandra, who quickly embraced the potential for such a community of artists. At the time, Annette was working for a N.Y. marketing and advertising global agency, and Alexandra, was an Assistant Vice President with an international bank. With the combination of a marketing expert and a financial manager to provide advice and counsel to the art-historian, Cristina was able to move forward and establish the ArtistaMundo.com website and company.

Using viral marketing as well as traditional marketing tactics, the company is projecting growth in membership to reach 11,500 members by the end of year one, quickly expanding to over 300,000 in four years. This is expected to result in millions of unique visitors to the site. Given the site’s attractiveness to artists that has been recently experienced, the team felt these growth projections were attainable.

About ArtistaMundo.com – ArtistaMundo.com was founded as the first fully bilingual online networking community especially designed to provide an easy to use platform for artists to create their own “virtual studios.” Created five years ago, it has undergone a number of business plan as well as membership program changes. With ArtistaMundo.com, Spanish or English speaking artists can create their own online “virtual studio” for free. With instruction and content in both languages, artists can overcome the language barrier that often keeps them from joining a networking community that would allow exposure to a broader global market of buyers, suppliers, agents and educational resources. Two years ago, the company began doing some limited work with eBD Soft until this year when eBD Soft became fully involved in upgrading the website to a Web 2.0 platform.

About eBD Soft – eBD Soft is a European company based in Barcelona, Spain, with an American subsidiary, Oasys Soft Inc., based in Miami, Florida. It is a designer and manufacturer of software products that provide a platform for the development, integration and application of web based solutions for companies of all sizes. The company has an international footprint with offices in Barcelona, Madrid, London, Miami, Mexico City, Bogota, and Dubai. Its portfolio of clients include such major multinationals as Microsoft, HP, Telefonica, Terra, T-Systems, and many others, combined with a large portfolio of national clients in countries in Europe, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, and the Middle East.
