Global IntelliSystems Announces That Use of Dynamic and Targeted Marketing Techniques by Email Marketers Up 23% in November

Global IntelliSystems, a leading email marketing firm, saw a 23 percent increase in the volume of dynamic, targeted outbound mailings for November 2008. This was up from the 16 percent increase in October. As consumers tighten their purse strings, many marketing departments are retooling their email campaigns to make use of creative and powerful marketing techniques. The results are promising: statistics show that the average open and click-through rate is up 9 percent and holding.

“The slowdown in the economy has definitely energized the creative side of email marketing,” said Michele Shubin, Director of Technical Services. “Many of our clients have retooled their marketing efforts and are including dynamic messaging to give every message the best shot at having results. When recipients see a message that looks like it was personally prepared for them, they respond.”

Shubin continued, “The email message has a very short shelf life when it is received, so it’s critical that recipients are quickly energized when they open that message.” Global also noticed a significant increase in the use of email surveys to collect customer buying preferences as a way to help with future dynamic marketing.

However, creative marketing and precision-guided email will not help if the message lands in the recipient’s junk or spam folder.
