PENTAX Introduces New Line of Binoculars and Rifle Scopes

PENTAX Imaging Company has announced a new line of binoculars, the PENTAX DCF NV. Available in 8×36 and 10×36 models, the DCF NV offers the perfect combination of a semi-compact design, bright optics, and renowned PentaBright™ technology. With high resolution, phase-coated and super-reflective coated roof prisms that provide high contrast images, the DCF NV models feature fully multi-coated lenses to increase light transmission and color quality. Each model offers a fiber reinforced polycarbonate design making these binoculars extremely lightweight and durable.

Also introduced are two new lines of PENTAX rifle scopes, the Pioneer II® and the Gameseeker™ 5X. The Pioneer II improves on its rugged predecessor by enhancing the optical design to give a brighter, sharper image. Pioneer II scopes are available in 3-9×40 and 4.5-14×42. The Gameseeker 5X rifle scope offers 3-15X magnification and a large, 50mm objective to gather optimum light for a bright, clear image. This versatile zoom range is ideal for the widest range of shooting situations without compromising image quality. Both series of scopes feature one inch, one piece tube construction, making them extremely durable and fully waterproof for the most extreme hunting situations. They also offer one-quarter M.O.A. finger adjustable turrets for fast sighting-in accuracy, and the quick focus style eyepiece quickly adjusts the focus to match the user’s eyes. Each scope is nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging of optical elements, and the fully-multi-coated optics with PentaBright technology help increase light transmission to deliver sharp, clear images. All scopes in these series are available with the popular Penta-Plex reticle.

The DCF NV will ship in February 2009 at US $219.00 for the 8×36 and US $229.00 for the 10×36. The Pioneer II rifle scopes ship in February 2009 at US $199.00 for the 3-9×40 and US $219.00 for the 4.5-14×42 size.
