Lloyd Mathias joins Tata Teleservices Limited

New Delhi, 22 December 2008: Tata Teleservices Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lloyd Mathias as Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Mathias will be based out of Mumbai and will report to Mr. Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Teleservices Limited.

An evangelist in Marketing and Sales domain, Mr. Mathias at Tata Teleservices, will lead the marketing function end-to-end in terms of defining and executing corporate strategic initiatives for brand Tata Indicom. Mr. Mathias brings in more than 20 years of rich experience in marketing and will manage various functions – Product Strategy, Product Management, Supply Chain, Business development, Alliances, Branding and Customer Programs nationally.
Mr. Mathias has a long and successful track record in sales and marketing, having been directly responsible for the success of some of India’s biggest brands like Motorola, PepsiCo Beverages, UB Spirits and Onida. Prior to joining TTSL, he was working with Motorola Inc. as Senior Director, Sales and Distribution.
In Year 2006, Mr. Mathias was named by Internationalist magazine as one of the 15 international Marketeers of the Year—for developing campaigns that had a cross-cultural impact.
