2009 International CES
The 2009 International CES® will unveil the latest wireless technologies and trends including advancements in location-based services, next-generation Wi-Fi, mobile phones, smartphones and mobile TV formats. Produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the 2009 International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, returns to Las Vegas, January 8-11, 2009.
“Wireless technology is a critical component of many consumer electronics products, bringing connectivity to devices and to consumers,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, events and conferences, CEA. “With major wireless exhibitors, the Wireless World Spotlight and conference sessions focused on wireless trends, CES attendees will experience the latest advancements in wireless technologies. The 2009 International CES will explore every segment of the wireless market, including mobile content creators, wireless device manufacturers and wireless accessories. Major wireless players exhibiting at the 2009 International CES include Blackberry (Research in Motion), LG, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. Wireless World, a CE Spotlight located in South Hall 3 at the LVCC, will feature manufacturers and distributors of wireless products showcasing the latest in wireless handsets and accessories. The Wireless Mobility brought to You by Qualcomm TechZone will also be featured within Wireless World. Other TechZones focused on wireless technologies include Wireless Distribution, located in South Hall 4 at the LVCC and ZigBee, located in South Hall 1 at the LVCC.

Wireless Meets Consumer Electronics: The Fundamental Shift to Mobility – Does mobility represent the next great opportunity for the industry? Senior executives from wireless and consumer electronics will discuss big ideas around mobility.
