Who/What: Michael Tatelman, Dell’s VP of Global Consumer Sales and Marketing, pledges to disrupt the personal computing category in 2009 by offering devices that allow people to express their sense of personal style and individualism.
Why: It was one of the most-anticipated reveals at this year’s CES. An elite group got a sneak peek at Adamo by Dell before its official launch. Dell’s Design and Global Consumer Products teams previewed Adamo by Dell along with a host of other upcoming products that blend cutting-edge technology with design, personalization, art and style.
Marking a standout year with global acclaim, including 48 awards for design excellence, 2008 was a year of innovation at Dell. Featuring highly stylized products commanding the attention and admiration of consumers and experts alike – from the ultra-thin and super-portable Inspiron Mini 9 and Mini 12 to the technologically advanced Alienware gaming systems to innovations like Dell Design Studio, an interactive gallery of 100+ contemporary pieces of artwork for personalizing Dell Studio 15 and 17 laptops – Dell has put the spotlight on design.
