CCCL signs MoU with SASTRA University

Chennai, 21 January, 2009: Consolidated Construction Consortium Ltd (BOM:532902), a major construction company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SASTRA University, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu to improve industry-academic linkage and to equip their students with employability skills.
According to the agreement, CCCL will provide assistance with the content of the course and provide civil engineering students with an opportunity to work in CCCL projects, thus integrating concepts with practice. This will help make the students industry ready by the end of their course.

The MoU is CCCL’s initiative to work closely with academic institutions for the common cause of nurturing highly skilled professionals and accomplishing mutual objectives” said R. Leveraging this relationship, SASTRA University will produce professionals with “hands-on” construction experience. CCCL and SASTRA University has plans of instituting a skill development centre within the SASTRA university campus in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.
