Former HP Executive Joins AirPatrol as Chief Executive Officer

AirPatrol Corporation is pleased to announce that Mr. Ozzie Diaz has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 19, 2009. Mr. Diaz was most recently the Chief Technology Officer for Wireless and Mobility at Hewlett Packard, and is a seasoned technology executive with over 20 years experience in management, marketing, business development and leadership.

Mr. Diaz brings to AirPatrol an impressive professional history in the wired and wireless networking, security, and mobile/cellular technology industries. His work in Systems Engineering, Marketing and Business Development for companies such as HP, Firetide, AirFlow Networks and Bivio Networks, as well as his telecom architecture work for companies such as Motorola and Cisco all testify to his experience in both Fortune 100 enterprises and early stage, venture-backed companies.

His commitment to homeland security and public safety is evident in the published paper titled “Utility of Broadband Wireless: A Technology Roadmap for Disaster Response”, created for a broadband wireless and emergency preparedness strategy in cooperation with the Worldwide Consortium for the Grid (W2COG).
