PARIS, 28 January 2009 – The MoonScoop Group’s Taffy Entertainment, the worldwide distribution, brand management and entertainment company, has secured deals for two of its newest animated TV series on key broadcasters across Spain. Cartoon Network Spain has picked up all three seasons of “Titeuf” and TV Catalunya also snapped up broadcast rights to the new preschool series “Ava Riko Teo.”

“The Spanish market has been an area of tremendous success for us and these new shows in particular have enormous breakthrough potential,” said Lionel Marty, President, Distribution at Taffy Entertainment. “These shows appeal to a variety of kid demographics that fill a need for each broadcaster and we’re confident they will prove to be outstanding additions to their respective lineups.”

Curious, mischievous, outspoken and impulsive, Titeuf (250 x 7’), based on the popular French comic book series, is every kid’s hero, relentlessly seeking answers to the questions all kids are concerned by. Now in its third season, the animated comedy series garnered the #1 market share rating on France 3 in 2008.

Based on the famous works of French author and artist Mila Boutan, the preschool-oriented Ava Riko Teo (65 x 7’) is a show seemingly created in front of the viewer’s eyes using a colorful assembling of all kinds of paper cutouts, animated by two unseen children’s creative play. The show is designed to engage children to take action and be inspired creatively, making their own creations without inhibition. Now in its first season on France 5, the series currently holds the #1 spot in market share among the Kids 2-8 demographic on the channel.
