Sitel to Provide Customer and Sales Support during Digital TV Transition

Major Digital Entertainment Companies Leverage Global BPO’s Technical and Inbound Sales Expertise

Sitel, a leading global business process outsourcing (BPO) provider, today announced that major U.S. digital entertainment service companies selected Sitel to provide integrated technical and sales support during the upcoming Digital TV (DTV) transition.

As a result of the switch to DTV on February 17, digital television services providers anticipate a dramatic increase in call volume from new and existing customers. To handle this volume, over 600 Sitel associates, from several of Sitel’s U.S. locations will support subscribers with answers to questions about the conversion, as well as provide specialized technical support. In addition, these clients anticipate a flood of inbound sales inquiries in the weeks surrounding the conversion, as consumers currently receiving analog television explore their options.

The entertainment services companies selected Sitel for its unique blend of technical and inbound sales expertise, and quick ramp-up capabilities. Sitel will provide agents from U.S.-based call centers for the DTV campaign.
