Celeno to Demonstrate Latest Wireless HD Innovations at CableLabs® Technology Forum

Next-Generation Video over Wi-Fi Solution is Part of CableLabs Innovations Showcase

Celeno Communications, a leading provider of semiconductors for multimedia Wi-Fi home networking applications, will demonstrate a variety of Wireless HD innovations at CableLabs® Technology Forum February 8-10th.

Celeno is part of a select group of companies that will present and demonstrate during the CableLabs Innovation Showcase.

Celeno’s Innovations Showcase presentation will outline how cable operators can benefit from Celeno’s Wireless HD carrier-grade home networking technology and evolve their architecture to easily distribute stored DVR content around the house to multiple screens (even where Coax cabling is unavailable), stream broadcast content to personal computers and laptops, reduce cost by centralizing key STB components and minimize operational expenditures by leveraging on a self-install home networking technology.

Celeno’s technology employs a novel “Base Station” approach and is designed at the silicon level to easily integrate the technology into devices and to distribute robustly video stream in many formats: HDMI, MPEG2 or MPEG4 to every corner of the home.

Celeno’s Technology Forum demonstrations also include:
IP-Based HDTV home distribution over Wi-Fi: This demonstration will show the distribution of high capacity HD streams over long distances to a Wi-Fi enabled IP set-top box.
Whole-home wireless HDMI distribution over Wi-Fi: This demo will use a Sony Playstation®3 to show distribution of low-latency interactive HD gaming applications over long distances.

Both demos will highlight the capacity, robustness and distances that could be achieved with Celeno’s Implicit Beam Forming Wi-Fi technology.
