O’Reilly Tools of Change for Publishing Conference 2009
Plastic Logic announced today that it will participate in the O’Reilly Tools of Change Conference at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, February 9-11, 2009. The Plastic Logic Reader will be featured as the TOC Conference looks at the tools of change in the industry toward helping leaders and decision makers gain more insight for a more profitable future in publishing.
Plastic Logic plans to announce its first content partners during the conference, which begins Feb. 9, and will participate in the following sessions:
“Lightning Demonstrations,” 7:30 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 10, 2009
Daren Benzi, Vice President of Business Development and Anusha Nirmalananthan, Product Manager. will participate in this snappy series of five minute demonstrations, demoing Plastic Logic’s new eReader, the first electronic device specifically made for a better digital reading experience for business users and all the documents they need — including newspapers, magazines, books and work documents.
“Survey of Current E-Readers,” general session, 11 a.m. Wednesday. Feb. 11, 2009. In this session Liza Daly (Threepress Consulting Inc.), Keith Fahlgren (O’Reilly Media, Inc.), will review the current set of popular e-readers with a focus on the reading experience: ease of use and purchase, navigation, fonts and layout. Plastic Logic’s Anusha Nirmalananthan, will demonstrate the Plastic Logic Reader.
The Plastic Logic Reader is scheduled to ship in early 2010. Differentiated by a stunning form factor (the size of 8.5 x 11-inch paper), the Plastic Logic Reader features a big readable display.
