Tilgin (STO:TILG), a leading provider of solutions for multiplay and next-generation broadband services, today launches a new FTTX portfolio of multiport Home Gateways at the Fiber-to-the-Home Council’s European Conference in Copenhagen. Engineered for converged service scenarios, Tilgin’s new Home Gateways enable operators to take full advantage of gigabit fiber to the homes.
“Building on Tilgin’s experience from operators around the world, we have taken fiber-to-the-home gigabit technology to the next level. Our new product portfolio enable operators to take full advantage of the opportunities of the service-connected digital home”, says Ola Berglund, CEO of Tilgin.
The role of the Home Gateway as an intelligent service node is increasing as operators look to deliver new services to strengthen brand and increase profitability. Tilgin is a leading provider of operator managed broadband solutions and its Home Gateways are characterized by:
• Full service routing for advanced media and home networking applications
• Excellent voice quality and services, including wideband voice
• Storage and remote access solutions
• High-speed routing capabilities
• Same software and services for a wide range of access networks

Tilgin’s new portfolio of Home Gateways brings the latest gigabit technology to the operators’ households. They are designed for fiber-to-the-home access and include advanced functionality such as multiport with seven LAN ports (7xLAN100BaseT) and 802.11n.
The new HG1550 is a gigabit fiber multi-port gateway with 1 Gig Ethernet WAN and 1 Gig Fiber WAN SFP (slot for fiber), enabling flexible WAN configuration for the client. The new HG1530 is a cost-efficient fiber multi-port gateway with 100 M Fiber WAN. Finally, the new HG1350 is a gigabit Ethernet multi-port gateway with 1 Gig Ethernet WAN.
To achieve cost efficiency, the operators could choose between having the slot for fiber (SFP) module pre-installed or to install different modules from its own stock in case the operator work with multiple fiber technologies. Tilgin’s Home Gateway Application Software is running on all products enabling operators to manage a range of Customer Premises Equipment based on one common software.
Tilgin’s Home Gateways have been commercially proven in several mass-market roll-outs and are immediately available for deployment together with Tilgin VCM 5, that is the software for managing networks. The products can be combined with other TR-069 standard compliant Customer Premises Equipment.
Tilgin exhibits its technology for the Services Connected Home at FTTH Council Europe Conference in Copenhagen on February 11 and 12 in stand B20.
