Streamezzo announces support for the BlackBerry Storm Smartphone, Taking Advantage of its “Clickable” Touch-Screen

Streamezzo becomes the first software publisher to provide a platform for developing Rich Media-based applications on the BlackBerry Storm Smartphone

Mobile World Congress 2008 (Hall 7, Stand 7C18) – Barcelona, Spain – 16 February, 2009.

Streamezzo today announced that its Rich Media Client (RMC), the rendering client and core technology behind Streamezzo Mobile Open Development Platform, is fully compliant with the BlackBerry® Storm™ smartphone from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM).

Streamezzo RMC offers a low memory footprint, high performance and compelling features for creating and deploying innovative Rich Media Application on the BlackBerry Storm smartphone. Developers can now create a Rich Media application once and deploy it easily on the BlackBerry Storm, taking advantage of its unique “clickable” touch-screen and virtual keyboards.

Streamezzo RMC takes advantage of the latest technological features of the BlackBerry Storm smartphone including:

o Touch-Screen with SurePress™ – Allow Rich Media to take full advantage of this innovative interface including taps or slides.
o Virtual Keyboard – Hide or show virtual keyboard within an application
o Video Streaming – Enable an application to support video streaming
o Audio Capabilities – Integrate the sound effects or play your favourite hits
o Web – Connect your application to the web
