HomePlug specialist devolo announces its largest ever product launch

18 February 2009 – Powerline specialist devolo is presenting its largest ever product launch at CeBIT 2009 with a new range of dLAN HomePlug entertainment products for home audio and video.

At the exhibition, devolo will launch a new dLAN Audio line-up with highlights such as the dLAN Audio base iPod dock and dLAN Audio tone – designer active speakers with HomePlug technology.

In addition, the company will be unveiling the dLAN TV Sat Receiver, its first digital satellite receiver with a dLAN set-top box, and its latest in home networking, the dLAN 85 HS plus.

dLAN Audio – multi-room sound for iPod, Internet radio, computer and entertainment systems

As a stylish speaker, the dLAN Audio tone system combines an active stereo sound system with HomePlug technology to provide music throughout the home. The system adjusts to the music source and the 2-way bass reflex system provides powerful, high-quality sound.

The dLAN Audio base is compatible with any Apple music player and allows one or more dLAN Audio tone systems to play the music from any Apple music player, HiFi or entertainment system connected to the base system.

dLAN TV Sat – satellite TV in HD quality on TVs and computers

The dLAN-TV-Sat system brings together the advantages of HomePlug technology and satellite reception, providing simple and convenient reception for digital satellite television in HD quality over existing electrical cabling.

Analogue TVs can be connected via SCART with the system’s HDMI connections, and a CI module allows you to insert smart cards to ensure optimum reception for encrypted programmes.

The dLAN-TV-Sat also provides improvements to existing satellite TV systems by allowing the user to record one programme while another TV channel is being viewed. This feature is also available if a coaxial satellite TV cable is being used.

dLAN 85 HS plus – the clever HomePlug innovation for better transmission quality

The dLAN 85 HS is the latest dLAN Highspeed adapter from devolo. The integrated electrical socket enables additional end devices or multi-way adaptors to be connected to the unit just like to a normal wall outlet.

The adapter’s integrated mains filter significantly improves data transmission in the home network offering a transmission rate of up to 85 Mbps and is designed for easy plug-and-play connections between router, computers and other network-compatible devices.

With the patented devolo PowerSave technology, the adapter uses 30% less energy when the connected network device is off, helping to lower household energy consumption and reduce emissions. Full compatibility with devolo adapters of the first HomePlug generation is also guaranteed.
