Despite some recruiter’s claims, nobody knows or can track all of the people in a business sector. But that was before Prefio.com turned recruitment upside down. From now on employers in property and construction have a cost effective and fast way of getting close to total knowledge of all candidates in their sector. Latham says “We have been specialist recruiters in the commercial real estate sector for some years, using traditional executive search. But we believed that there was an even better way of doing business which would bring our clients superior results, more quickly and at lower cost – Prefio.com is the result”. Prefio.com turns recruitment upside down by providing the most extensive sector knowledge at reduced fees.

Latham added “We are continuing to focus exclusively upon recruitment in the mid to upper echelons of commercial real estate but rather than having an army of researchers trying to continually map all of the players, we have completely redesigned how recruitment is carried out; our eyes and ears are a large number of current players in the sector – they are rewarded with at least £5,000 each time one of their suggestions comes off. Having currently around a thousand such people with really sharp sector focus gives our clients confidence that they have the most up to the minute intelligence on who’s doing what, where and therefore who might be the right hire.”

Prefio.com is a closely vetted, sector specific new approach to recruitment, resembling a massive refer a friend scheme. “One client called it ‘recruitment Heineken’, by which he meant that it reaches the parts that others can’t” says Latham.

Next week tens of thousands of business people will descend upon Cannes for the annual property conference MIPIM. “Some of them might pay for their attendance many times over if through networking they earn the referrer rewards that we are offering” said Latham.

Prefio.com ties in with recent developments in Web 2.0 including “crowd-sourcing”, but says Latham “We’ve used contemporary thinking on the knowledge available in crowds but applied it in a focused and controlled fashion. So there’s an added incentive to get stuck in to the networking at MIPIM and other such events”.
