Sara Lee International Extends Services Contract with HP for Spanish and Portuguese IT Operations

HP today announced that Sara Lee International has extended its services contract with HP for its international bakery operations in Spain and Portugal. As part of the five-year agreement, HP will supply Sara Lee International with infrastructure outsourcing and IT services, including data center, SAP infrastructure, application support, messaging, help desk, local area network and desktop management.

“The extended partnership with HP will enable us to continue to focus on our core operations while our IT services are managed by HP’s global services experts,” said Steve Merry, VP Chief Information Officer, Sara Lee International. HP has been supporting Sara Lee International’s central IT infrastructure and associated services since their original contract was signed in December 2000.

“This agreement furthers the worldwide collaboration between our companies, bringing additional service excellence and IT agility to Sara Lee International, as well as helping them focus even more on business efficiency,” said Richard Newman, global client director for Sara Lee International, HP.
